የፌዴራል ዋና ኦዲተር መ/ቤት በኢ.ፌ.ዴ.ሪ ህገ መንግስት አንቀጽ 101 እና በማቋቋሚያ አዋጅ ቁጥር 982/2008 እንዲሁም በማሻሻያ አዋጅ ቁጥር 1146/2011 መሰረት የተሰጡትን ተግባርና ኃላፊነቶች  ለመወጣት ከፍተኛ እንቅስቃሴ እያደረገ የሚገኝ ተቋም ነው፡፡ የመ/ቤቱ ተጠሪነት ለኢ.ፌ.ዴ.ሪ የህዝብ ተወካዮች ም/ቤት ሲሆን የህዝብና የመንግሥት ሀብትና ንብረት በአግባቡ ለታለመለት ዓላማ እንዲውል እና ይህንን ተግባር የመፈጸምና የማስፈጸም ተልዕኮ የተሰጣቸው የመንግሥት ተቋማትም ለተግባራዊነቱ በመትጋት ግልፅነትና ተጠያቂነትን እንዲሁም ....
